Minimum wage vs. lowest level of guaranteed wage

Share article:

The minimum wage is not always a sufficient one under the legal rules. Unfortunately, not every employer is aware of this fact. What wage should he pay, for it to be considered acceptable under the law?

The lowest level of guaranteed wage

According to article 112 of the Labour Code, the employer must provide employees, whose wages are not agreed in a collective agreement, with wages at least equal to the lowest level of guaranteed wages, as set by the Government in its Decree No.567/2006 Coll. The lowest levels of guaranteed wages are determined for working hours of 40 hours per week and are divided into 8 groups according to the complexity, difficulty and responsibility of the work performed.
