If an employer employs a foreigner, the employer is obliged to report this fact to the Labour Office of the Czech Republic. As part of the improvement of services and modernisation of the office, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has proceeded to full digitisation of this task.

From 1 July 2024, it will only be possible to send this information via one of the three digital channels:

• By filling in a form on the website
• By sending an XML file to the data box of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic
• Direct integration of the employer’s information system with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs interface.

In preparation for the transition to full digitalisation of this operation, it is therefore already possible to report via these routes today.

For the Information Cards agenda, only one form will now be used, through which the employer will report both the commencement and departure of their employee.
