E-sales (EET) trial run

Share article:

On 1st November, that is one month before it is introduced officially, a trial run of electronic record of sales (e-sales, Czech abbreviation: EET) was launched. Entrepreneurs can voluntarily use the program and try out how the system works and if the exchange of data with the Financial Administration is running smoothly. Unfortunately only few entrepreneurs have shown interest so far. In fact, some have not ever registered in the EET yet (only half of those for whom EET is going to be mandatory from December have picked up the registration data) or they have not bought the machine yet (acquired by approximately only a fifth of the hoteliers and restaurant owners). There are about 30 thousand gastronomic institutions and the current estimate is that 30-35 % of them have not started to deal with EET and the obligations it brings. There is also a possibility to insure one’s business against the possible risks of introduction of EET.
