The Senate proposes to abolish real estate transfer tax

Share article:

The Senate Committee on National Economy, Agriculture and Transport proposed to abolish the legislative measure on tax on real estate acquisition. However, the proposal from the Chamber of Deputies which is currently being discussed anticipated only a widening of the current list of tax exemptions relating to the real estate transfer tax, newly namely in cases of the first sale of a flat in a family house.

But on May 3rd, 2019 the senators have proposed a complete abolishing of the tax. The proposal will now be decided upon by the Chamber of Deputies.
