From 1 December 2021, there will be a change in the name of the National Identification and Authentication (NIA) login. The existing eidentita.cz portal will now be called Identity of the Citizen (Identita občana), the functionality of the system remains unchanged. The change should be another step towards visual unification of the identification of eGovernment services and the concept of the Citizen’s Portal (Portál občana). Electronic identity is a prerequisite for being able to communicate officially with the state online from anywhere.
